Phased Approach Blends Management, Process and Technology
To achieve a successful implementation on large-scale projects, OH Logistics utilizes a phased approach to blend management, processes and technology. The phased approach has proven successful in multiple OH Logistics operations. Our process of implementation is proven and utilizes key elements from some of the best quality management models.

The Phased Approach Includes:
Phase 1 - Risk Assessment and Avoidance
Phase 2 - Initiation Phase
Phase 3 - Planning Phase
Phase 4 - Execution Phase
Phase 5 - Control Phase
Phase 6 - Process Improvement Phase
Phase 1 - Risk Assessment and Avoidance
By identifying the internal and external risks associated with outsourcing, we position ourselves as agents for change within your organization. We anticipate the physical, psychological, and financial risks associated in a 3PL relationship and manage them proactively. In order to serve you successfully, we must first consider the potential risks in transitioning the operation to OH Logistics.
Phase 2 - Initiation Phase
A cross-functional OH Logistics team will verify the scope of work. This step ensures that the client and OH Logistics have the same expectations. Upon completion of the scope of work validation and process review, OH Logistics and the client will develop the contract language to support the agreement. The finalized contract is executed within 30 days of the scope of work requirements and operating process validation.
Phase 3 - Planning Phase
OH Logistics will utilize an experienced start-up team to complete the planning phase. The OH Logistics start-up team will include representatives from operations, finance, IT, customer service, engineering, and human resources. Transition timeline completed and formatted – estimated at 60 to 90 days.
Phase 4 – Execution Phase
This phase will be completed over a 60-day period. The information gathered during the Planning Phase will be utilized as the template to identify and assist in defining training needs and filling gaps from OH Logistics' original response.
Phase 5 - Control Phase
The control phase will occur during the first 30 to 60 days of the operation. The objective during the control phase is to closely monitor the performance measures agreed to by the collaboration team. Any service exceptions or performance measures not met will be reviewed with a designated contact. Action plans will be developed and executed as agreed. The Control Phase should create a stabilized environment within the first 60 to 90 days of the operation. The reporting frequency will be revised as the processes stabilize.
Phase 6 – Process Improvement Phase
The Process Improvement Phase begins day 1 in the operation and will continue throughout the contract life. OH Logistics is committed to implementing comprehensive, formalized continuous improvement initiatives for each of our customers. The objective of these initiatives is to add value to our customer's logistics systems, continuously improve service levels and achieve on-going cost reductions.
These initiatives will enable us to capitalize on past successes and allow us to take our customer's supply chain to the next level of innovation. OH Logistics will work to fully understand your requirements, effectively monitor operational capabilities, improve performance levels, measure cost accurately, and develop world-class processes.
