At OH Logistics, we feel it is our responsibility to give back to our communities. We corporately support the
United Way, participate in local events and support programs and groups in areas in which we operate.
Jobs for Life™
OH Logistics is a Jobs for Life™ Business Partner. Jobs for Life equips churches and faith-based organizations across the country with a work development tool that offers hope to those who struggle with finding and keeping meaningful work. With a focus on character and meaningful relationships, Jobs for Life training helps those willing to accept responsibility to build a new life through productive work and a strong foundation of purpose. Ozburn-Hessey Logistics employees participate on Employer Roundtables, help with mock interviews and serve as volunteers.
United Way
In February, 2007, OH Logistics received the Advocate Award for their 2006 campaign efforts. The Advocate Award recognizes all-around United Way support in organizations with less than 500 employees and recognizes outstanding campaign organization and success, volunteer commitment, communications efforts and employee involvement. OH Logistics has less than 500 employees in the Metropolitan Nashville service area.
OH Logistics conducted a 2007 United Way Pace Setter campaign in the Middle-Tennessee area, resulting in over $100,000 in pledges. Similar United Way campaigns were conducted at additional OH Logistics locations.
Habitat for Humanity
Each year, OH Logistics participates in the construction of new homes with Habitat for Humanity. It's a fun way for our associates to give back to the community, learn how to build homes, and bond with fellow employees. Rick Shepard, Vice President, currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity and is Chairman of the Construction Committee. Scott McWilliams, CEO, serves as "Supervisor on Site" volunteer.
Holy Angel Shelter
OH Logistics associates in the St. Louis area support the Holy Angel Shelter, which aids people in crisis. For many years, our associates have purchased and wrapped gifts for hundreds of the shelter's clients during the holiday season.
