In 2000, Ozburn-Hessey Logistics debuted its Warehouse Management System (WMS), Synapse™, for its distribution facilities. OH Logistics decided to develop the proprietary system after evaluating over 100 existing WMS packages. None of the software packages evaluated met the needs of OH Logistics and its customers. Synapse was designed to provide customers with flexible and sophisticated supply chain solutions, including RF technology.
Synapse is configured to enhance productivity for our customers. We offer linkage to our customers’ host systems so that they can provide visibility to their customers. Synapse is a powerful program running multiple clients simultaneously. Some of our customers process more than 8,000 orders per day through the system.
Synapse is successfully running some of our most complex accounts. With the software, we can meet our customers' and all major retailers’ labeling requirements. Because of the flexibility of Synapse, OH Logistics is poised to meet additional customer requirements as distribution needs and technology continue to change.
Our Information Technology/Information Services Department ensures that modifications and software enhancements are made quickly and correctly, assists our operations team in setting up new accounts and provides ongoing support for all of OH Logistics customers.
