method Chooses Ozburn-Hessey Logistics as Supply Chain Management Partner

BRENTWOOD, Tennessee - Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OH Logistics) was recently selected as the supply chain management partner for method’s fourth distribution center in Dayton, New Jersey. OH Logistics currently provides third-party logistics services for method distribution centers in Georgia and California.
“We are delighted to win this additional business from method,” commented Scott McWilliams, CEO of OH Logistics. “The relationship thus far has been mutually beneficial, and we respect the people and products of method. We look forward to continuing our work at the new facility.”
The 90,000-square-foot New Jersey location will allow method to optimize their distribution network while decreasing transportation routes. Transit days for many customers will be one to two days compared to five to seven days from other distribution centers. Shipments will also travel fewer miles overall, supporting method’s commitment to sustainable business practices.
“The distribution center provides us with several key benefits for increased efficiency,” said Jason Bowman, “The Transporter” and Director of Logistics for method. “The location of the new distribution center has rail access, allowing us to ship inventory by rail direct from co-manufacturers, resulting in reduced emissions and freight-out savings.”
McWilliams credits the successful relationship to sound business practices and a common commitment to sustainable initiatives. OH Logistics has recently increased recycling programs in their distribution centers; method is a member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay Transport Partnership, aimed at improving the environmental performance of freight operations, and the companies are working together to create ‘no idle’ zones where method products are distributed.
OH Logistics was chosen from 20 potential candidates to provide logistics services for method in N.J. “OH Logistics has proved to be an effective logistics partner. We look forward to working with OH Logistics as method continues to grow,” remarked Bowman.
